This is a compilation of unofficial documentations of SQL troubleshootings, programming hints and administration issues that I ever came across during my work as a DBA. Also several tips and tricks with Windows and other products.
I haven’t been a DBA for long (well, in comparison with some big gun experts out there). But I enjoy my work and all the challenges that come with it. I learn a plethora of stuffs that I cannot remember. So far I survive by scribbling notes everywhere such as in my “black book” or rather at the back of the notebook. I realise I would need somewhere permanent if I wanted to remember again in the future (flicking pages to find the remedial scripts can take a very, very long time).
One word of caution: I mainly work in development and test environments. So if you want to try any of the scripts here, please don’t try it on your production without proper testing! You’ve been warned!!
